Seiko Bell-matic mechancal alarm watch c.1972. Burgundy dial with day/date function. Stainless steel bracelet.
The mainspring is automatically wound but rotating the crown clockwise winds the separate alarm spring. Set the crown to postion 1, then allows you to rotate the crown which in turn rotates the inner dial to set the alarm time. Pull the secondary button at 2 o'clock to set the alarm and once the hour hand reaches the red marker, the loud buzzer goes off. Added to this already incredible level of complication, is fast date change on the secondary button (push to advance). No batteries, just springs, pushers, hammers cogs and wheels. This is a 4006-6021 model dating from 1972 with stainless steelcase and matching original Seiko bracelet to fit max. 19cms wrist. Pristine dial, a few light marks to the crystal. Watch runs , everything works as it should but will need a service for reliable continous operation. Diameter 37mm. Sold as trade sale no warranty.
